Nai Harn

Yesterday was a beautiful day and I finally got to spend sometime at the beach.  I went to Nai Harn which is just past Promthep Cape at the Southern tip of the island.  You can rent beach chairs for 100 baht and there is an area close by with decent restaurants.

I took a break from the beach to check out a nearby temple.  The building was under construction but I did find a group of expats playing bocce in the yard.

It seemed like everyone was trying to enjoy the sunshine, right outside the temple I found a group of boys playing soccer, and there were bicyclists all over.

I had dinner at a Japanese buffet by the mall in Phuket town.  It seems the restaurant mostly caters towards Japanese tour groups as there were only two other motorbikes in the parking lot and a handful of cars, the rest were all tour buses and the place was packed.  They had huge sushi buffets (not one vegetarian sushi in sight, but they made me a special plate), salad bars, soups, dumplings, hot pots, and anything else you could think of.  It was a bit overwhelming!  I left feeling more full than I have in months.
