Another rainy beach day

I headed to Kata beach with one of my friends for another attempt at a beach day.  I'd heard that Kata and Karon were nice beaches, like Patong but much quieter, but it ended up to be a lot of resorts and there were signs along the beach warning against swimming because of the rip currents.  It was a pretty beach though.

We walked along the beach and stumbled upon a surf bar with a surf machine like the one I saw on the cruise ship.  It was perfect timing because it started to pour, so we had a snack and watched the surfers while trying to wait out the rain.

The rain let up a little bit so we took the opportunity to rush to the bike and start making our way back over the steep hills while it was still relatively light out.  We stopped in Rawai for dinner by the water.

It's faint but there was actually a double rainbow during the sunset, so pretty!
