We got a flat tire on the motorbike only a few km away. The first mechanic we talked to wasn't open on Sundays but we were able to find another one nearby and got lunch while he fixed the flat. He only charged 150 baht! A pretty good deal I think, I can't imagine going to a mechanic in the States and only paying $5.
We started off again but, since it is the rainy season and all, it started to pour and we ended up taking cover in a shack on a small beach with two funny English women who told us stories about how they were traveling for their 50th birthdays and all of their adventures.
During a break in the storm we went back to Rawai to get a snack at a cafe before heading back.
We had dinner at the weekend market, my favorite! And I finally found a vendor selling fresh soy milk. It was delicious!

Gavin bartering with the insect vendor, he ended up trying all of them, even the huge cricket and beetle (yuck!) |
Nadia and Steven trying the mystery sausage |
I just lost my appetite!
