Cheng Hoong Teng

One last temple from Melaka...

Cheng Hoong Teng is the oldest temple in Malaysia.  It was built in the mid 1600's and has been beautifully restored.  The Chinese temple is an interesting example of a Taoist / Confucian / Buddhist temple.

I really love the 3D wall pieces.  They look so alive they really jump out at you!

Off to the side I found a shrine to the tiger gods.

Street art work!

  1. Poppa's going to be on the next plane--he likes the look of the food you're eating. The street art piece looks so familiar but I can't think of where I've seen it. Beautiful.
